Hello and Welcome to Dapper Fit! My name is Tyler Holt, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Men’s Physique competitor and lifestyle coach and my intention here is to show that everyone is capable of having a healthy life. This series was designed to help you achieve a healthy and fit lifestyle by taking small steps in order to improve your overall quality of life. Meanwhile, keep in mind that everyone has their own life with different responsibilities; I want to make this as effortless and cost efficient as possible in order to make this happen for you!
How do you get there? This seems to be the question that everyone is concerned with. We all have places in our lives whether it be work or family related that we want to be, the problem is that people don’t really know where they are going. That should be the first question; WHERE are we going? Life is an amazing journey; one that unfortunately is not enjoyed through a healthy lifestyle by a lot of people.
The Dapper Fit mission is to help people achieve and maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle; the first thing I would like everyone to do is find a GOAL that they want for themselves. What I have noticed is that people start to put too much on their plate as they get older with families and careers so they tend to lose focus on their own well being. This is the first thing that has to stop! Your job this week is to figure out a goal that you would like for yourself, keeping it fitness and health related. This can be losing weight, gaining lean muscle mass, losing body fat, having a size of clothes you would like to fit in, get into good cholesterol levels, improving cardio conditioning, whatever you want. Pick something as your goal and say this is what I want for MYSELF. Then and only then can this amazing process that changes so many people’s lives begin! You can’t figure out how to get there until you know where you want to go. Follow the Dapper Fit next week as you start your journey.
Email Tyler with your questions and challenges and he will answer them in future on Dapper Fit. Each of you should consult your physician before beginning any exercise or lifestyle change.
