The brewery was recommended by our Dapper Brew guy Alan Wright. Anchor Steam Brewery is San Francisco based which is America’s oldest and first craft brewery. Their copper brewhouse is a mix of past traditions and today’s technology. Slide over to their History page on the site to travel from Gold Rush brew days to today.
We like their hashtag tie to baseball season with #BrewsandBaseball. To be honest, we also like the labels which are all like drawings from the past.
There seems to be a few brews that are buzzing in social media. First, the Anchor IPA which is a favorite of ours. It is “made with 2-row barley malt and fresh whole-cone hops, its bright amber color, distinctively complex aroma, spiky bitterness, malty depth, and clean finish unite to create a uniquely flavorful, memorable, and timeless craft IPA.” #SeeTheElephant
The other buzzing brew is the Liberty Ale which we haven’t tried yet. It was “first brewed to celebrate the bicentennial of Paul Revere’s historic ride. As the first modern American IPA brewed after prohibition and the first modern American single-hop ale and dry-hopped ale, Anchor’s Liberty Ale® is the original craft brewed ale and the historic beer that started a revolution.” #LibertyAle
