In addition to music and fashion, Brendan is a partner in a talent management firm PRE.VEYOR and two impressive startups, NMRKT, an E-Commerce site for blogs & magazines, and RentCheck, New York City’s premier rating system for landlords and buildings. We had the chance to talk with Brendan about our new Dapper Shop and more.
The Dapper Style: Our Dapper Team is excited to partner with your team to launch our own Dapper Shop. Why are these Shops are a great way for guys to get their style?
Brendan: It’s great to have a curated shopping experience from blogs you enjoy reading and respect. Having someone with taste you can trust and offer a selection of goods that you would be interested in purchasing makes the decisions a lot easier. Our team at NMRKT makes this super simple for both the user and the blogger. It’s been working for me on both ends and I hope it will benefit many others as well!
The Dapper Style: You have helped many brands get established. What makes a successful brand?
Brendan: I used to work in fashion at a company that launched brands into the market place from napkin phase (sketch phase) to retail. That really helped me learn a lot about how a brands path to success works. Although there’s no perfect algorithm, there are a few key elements to take into consideration. At the root of it all is the vision and hard working people. Pair that with an open mind to attack any situation and be creative to find new ways to make older tactics relevant.
The Dapper Style: Where are you from and where are you now?
Brendan: I was born and raised in Durham, Ontario Canada. I currently live in New York City, but tend to travel more than I’m home.
The Dapper Style: What is your personal style?
Brendan: I like to think of my style as clean and classic. I never wear something too outrageous and mostly just make sure I’m comfortable.
The Dapper Style: What is your beverage of choice on a night out?
Brendan: Tequila on the rocks with a fresh lime wedge.
Great cocktail choice Brendan. Thanks for taking time to talk with us.
