The Zak-O-Lantern, created by Whiteface Lodge’s Lead Mixologist Zachary Blair, is a pumpkin inspired highball that is made only from fresh ingredients. Using spiced rum as the base, the cocktail is mixed with a handmade Hickory Syrup. This is combined with a homemade pumpkin puree that pairs well with the Hickory and has a nice woody finish. Finally, the drink is topped off with club soda, making this a light, refreshing autumn cocktail.
- 2 oz spiced rum
- 1 oz hickory syrup
- Splash of lemon
- Bar spoon of pumpkin purée
Shake ingredients; Pour in high ball with club soda; Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
